How to clean up old library loans on your Kindle
Expired public library loans clutter your Kindle library. This browser extension tool finds old book loans and removes them.

Every library book you've borrowed stays in your Amazon Library, even after it expires.
My name is Alex and I like to read books - mostly sci fi, fantasy, history, and economics. After several years of heavy use of my public library for ebooks, I had over 500 expired book loans. They showed up in my "Library" in my Kindle, but I couldn't read them, or even tell that they were expired. Amazon removes the book from your device, but not from your overall list of books - what they call your "Library."
I was going to clean these up manually, but it was going to take a long time on an e-ink device or on Amazon's website. And doing it manually might meant I might delete an ebook I purchased! 😱
So I wrote this extension to automatically go through my library and delete expired library loans, while leaving my purchased Kindle books alone.
The extension is free for the first 10 books, so you can try it out before paying. It costs $5 + tax, and you can use it forever.
